The Quiet American - Graham Greene, Robert Stone Another novel studied in class.
I did enjoy it and thought the writing was great. I wouldn't have been all that immersed in the symbolism and ideology debates and prophetic nature of the novel if I hadn't studied it in class, but as it was, it did a great job of testing the reader and forcing them to explore morality.
So, while this not usually my cup of tea, I enjoyed it.
