Grave Mercy - Robin LaFevers Grave Mercy was very interesting and greatly unique - as one would expect from a nun-assassin in a historical fiction/fantasy. I thought it had a perfect mix of politics, action and romance. With a touch of cool religiousy stuff.
I thought everything was well done - the plot, the romance, the entire idea.
My one little complaint would be the characters. Ismae was a little bland sometimes. Her emotions didn't really show through. That would have been fine if it was written in third person, but it was in present first person. And so it got a bit tedious when we didn't actually feel what Ismae was supposed to be feeling.
Other than that, Duval was cute and tough and not overly annoying or alpha or anything. Very sweet.
Loved it.
